Educational Qualification
Technical Assistant
Candidates should possess a First Class Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline.
For example, candidates applying for Mechanical Technical Assistant should have a First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
Technician B
Candidates should have:
- Passed SSLC/10th Standard
- NCVT National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade.
Eligible trades include Turner, Fitter, Welder, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and Electrician.
Cook A
Candidates should have passed 10th Standard and possess 5 years of relevant cooking experience in a recognised or reputed hotel/canteen.
Fireman A
Candidates should have passed 10th Standard and must satisfy the prescribed physical fitness and medical requirements. A Preliminary Medical Examination certificate is also required.
Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive salary according to the 7th Central Pay Commission.
- Technical Assistant: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 per month
- Technician B: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100 per month
- Cook A: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 per month
- Fireman A: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 per month
Additional benefits may include DA, HRA, TA, NPS, medical facilities, canteen facilities and LTC, as applicable.
Age Limit
The age limit is calculated as on 5 October 2026.
- Technical Assistant: 18–35 years
- Technician B: 18–35 years
- Cook A: 18–35 years
- Fireman A: 18–25 years
Age relaxation is applicable to eligible reserved-category candidates as per Government of India rules.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of:
- Written Examination
- Skill Test / Physical Efficiency Test, wherever applicable
- Final selection based on written examination performance
For Technical Assistant and Technician B, the written examination consists of 80 objective-type questions, with a duration of 90 minutes and negative marking.
For Cook A and Fireman A, the examination consists of 100 objective-type questions with a duration of 120 minutes.

The initial application fee is:

- Technician B / Cook A / Fireman A: ₹500
Eligible candidates who appear for the written examination may receive a refund according to the applicable rules. Women, SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen and PwBD candidates are eligible for the applicable fee concessions/refunds mentioned in the notification.
